Ideas for films to anylse for essay;
- Sleeping Beauty- Disney
Sleeping beauty traditional fairy tale narrative of prince saves princess.
Would be interesting to apply to the hero's Journey and the way it is narrative because of its fairy tale form.
- Tangled- Disney
Tangled is an a more adapted fairy tale, which begins to follow a new structure of story telling of fairy tales as its in a more modern area. However it still has aspects of a fairy tale, but has more stronger heros.
- Moana - Disney, once again is a much more modern story, less of a fairy tale and follows the hero's journey much more. It dose not even feature an love interest. This story is much more of a journey and adventure, where they fight real monsters.
- The Corpse Bride;
Tim Burton is much more unique in his story telling and an auteur style to his work. In his uniqueness it would be interesting to compare it to theory of film structure to see how comparable his work is.
